Novosibirsk, Russia—To mark the UN Global Day of Parents, UPF conducted an informal survey of Russians to find out the “temperature of peace” in their family.
Approaching passersby at the Novosibirsk shopping center Siberian Mall, where a concert for families was being performed on June 1, 2015, Ambassadors for Peace and UPF volunteers showed a chart and asked people to evaluate the “temperature” of children’s love, siblings’ love, conjugal love and parental love in their family.
An interesting finding of the survey was that many participants found it difficult to measure their love for their parents as well as their children’s love for them. As a result, it was concluded that fundamental relationships of parents and children need support, and that educational programs about the four realms of heart in the family could be useful.
