Interfaith Harmony Week Commemorated in Santiago

Santiago, Chile - A celebration of World Interfaith Harmony Week took place on February 6. The speaker was Pastor Juan C. Adasme of the National Council of Evangelical Churches.
A lecture described the current situation of world religions and a potential paths for reconciliation among them. In addition a report was given about efforts to create an interreligious council at the UN.
Although World Interfaith Harmony Week is not well known among believers in the country, people were open to participating in future events, including joint prayer meetings during the year to promote dialogue.
