Manila, Philippines - In support of UN World Interfaith Harmony Week, UPF-Philippines organized a program on Feb. 7 at the UPF Peace Embassy in Manila. Prayers from many traditions (African Traditional Religion, Native American, Baha’i, Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Jainism, Judaism, Islam, Shinto, Sikhism, Sufism and Zoroastrianism) were read by Ambassadors for Peace and bishops of the Christian groups in the Philippines. Some of them are as follows: Archbishop Reynaldo Cristobal, Bishop Florentino Cruz, Bishop Leonardo Ramos, Bishop Cesar Ramirez, Archbishop Elias Soria and Mother Superior General Imelda de Jesus.

This was followed by the reading of the statement of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon read by Archbishop Elias T. Soria, D.D., president of the Asian Clergy Leadership Conference-Philippines.
The program ended with the singing of the song “If We Hold on Together” with the all the participants holding each others’ hand.
