World Interfaith Harmony Week Observed in Taiwan

Taipei, Taiwan—The Taiwan chapter of UPF held an event on February 2, 2019 to celebrate UN World Interfaith Harmony Week and Chinese New Year. The theme of this year’s week was “Sustainable Development through Interfaith Harmony.”
UPF-Taiwan president, Mr. Chen Tuo Huan, gave the welcoming remarks. Mr. Karl Min Ku, former director general of the National Central Library, the national library of Taiwan; Dr. Chen Chia-Ming, associate professor in the Department of Chinese Literature at National Chung Cheng University in Minxiong Township, Chiayi County; and four religious representatives also gave remarks.
World Interfaith Harmony Week, adopted by the UN General Assembly on October 20, 2010, is an annual event observed during the first week of February.
