Day of Peace in Montevideo

Montevideo, Uruguay - "Building a Culture of Peace" was the theme of the International Day of Peace 2008 celebration at the Uruguay National Garden in Montevideo on September 21, 2008. Partners in the celebration included the Red Cross, the Women's Federation for World Peace, the Family Federation for World Peace, the Air Force, and the Universal Peace Federation. More than 80 people were in attendance.
Distinguished guests included Dr. Hugo Pereira Fagúndez, President of Red Cross Uruguay; Col. Mariano Rodrigo, Head of Public Relations for Uruguay Air Force; and Cap. Bartolo Aguilar of the Uruguay Air Force.
