Day of Peace in Monaco

In connection with the International Day of Peace 2008, we organized an interfaith meeting in the Monaco-Nice region. Around 100 people gathered at a private golf club to enjoy some classical music and listen to representatives of different religions: Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Jewish, and Muslim.
It was a special occasion to meet and discuss peace through interreligious dialogue. Also the gathering took place a few days after the conference in Geneva on the role of religion in promoting human rights, in which Rabbi Abittan and Imam Aissaoui participated, and they gave reports about the conference. The media were represented by a magazine and a regional newspaper.
