Day of Peace in Lusaka

Lusaka, Zambia - The International Day of Peace was celebrated on September 21, 2008 at the 15 Acres Church Hall in Lusaka, Zambia. Master of Ceremonies Mr. Eric Mutewa opened the program by asking participants to observe a moment of silence. UPF Secretary General Rev. R. Fearber explained the meaning of the International Day of Peace, and Gen. Malimba Masheke, Chairman of UPF-Zambia, read the Declaration of Peace.

Prior to the event, Service for Peace organized a project to repair a road to the Baralaston Park School, which had been heavily eroded by recent rains.
