Day of Peace in Caracas

Caracas, Venezuela - UPF-Venezuela celebrated the UN International Day of Peace with a Service for Peace project September 19 and 20. More than 50 volunteers painted walls and cleared the green areas of an orphanage and the Buen Samaritano geriatric center at the El Divino Niño Catholic Church in La Rinconada, Caracas. They enjoyed working hard for the sake of others and sharing meals as a family.
At the end of the project, the youngest volunteers performed songs on the violin and cello, and the teenagers offered an educational play about prevention of AIDS, drug abuse, and unwanted teenage pregnancy. Then people were recognized for their hard work and received Ambassador for Peace certificates.
