Day of Peace Observed in Montevideo with an Interreligious Peace Summit

Montevideo, Uruguay - UPF-Uruguay organized an interreligious peace summit in commemoration of the International Day of Peace on September 21 at the Radisson Montevideo Victoria Plaza Hotel.
Opening remarks were given by Mr. Pablo Alvarez, Director General of the Secretariat, Ministry of Education and Culture. Speakers included:
Daniel Dominguez, representative of the Coordinating Board for Interreligious Dialogue in Uruguay
Lic. Heba Viera Smith, President, of the Fatima Zahra Association of Uruguayan Muslim Women
Jayadeva Goswami das, Director of Communications of the Bhakti Yoga Center
Valentina Dominguez and Hiromi Saito, International Soka Gakkai Buddhist Association of Uruguay
Proc. Mae Susana Andrade, IFA Federation of Uruguay, Atabaque Group
Rev. Kazuhiro George Tsusaka, Family Federation
