Nominations of Peace-Loving Global Citizens Sought by UPF-Nigeria

Abuja, Nigeria - In preparing for the observance of the UN International Day of Peace, Sept. 21, 2014, UPF-Nigeria invites nominations of Nigerians who love peace and set an example as global citizens transcending religion and ethnic nationality. Each approved nominee will receive a letter of recognition from UPF-Nigeria and a copy of the UPF founder's autobiography, As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen. Nominations should be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

The majority of Nigerians are peace-loving and peaceful. Many of us aspire to live as global citizens. A few have become terrorists and an insignificant number are still promoting the idea of indigenes and non indigenes. In an era of democratic governance where government is by majority decision for the people and by the people, it is unfair to use the activities of few terrorists and ethnic champions to describe Nigeria negatively. This campaign seeks to demonstrate that Nigerians are peace-loving global citizens.
