UPF-Peru Sponsors “Walk for Peace and Security”

Trujillo, Peru—On September 21 UPF-Peru sponsored a walk for peace in honor of the UN International Day of Peace. Dr. Trevor Jones, UPF-Peru president, organized the event in coordination with Congressman Luis Yika Garcia. We were joined by beauty pageant participants from different countries; members of the College of Psychology, the College of Teachers, and Defense Lawyers for Democracy; district sub prefects; Trujillo volunteers; veterans of the Armed Forces; and members of the Lions Club of Trujillo.
All gave their support to the unique "Walk for Peace and Security," with the aim of raising public awareness. Congressman Garcia in his closing remarks said, “Let us not forget that the responsibility of living in peace lies not only with the authorities but also with ourselves.”
