Brazil-2019-09-21-UPF-Brazil Sponsors Brazil’s Third Walk for Peace

Natal, Brazil—Brazil’s third walk for peace took place on September 21, the UN International Day of Peace 2019. It was held in the Nossa Senhora da Presentation neighborhood of Natal, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The walk was one of two events commemorating this occasion, the other being a conference held in Sorocaba City (see separate article).

UPF Ambassadors for Peace, military training groups, Boy Scouts, Ambassadors for Christ, and other volunteers walked together through the streets of the neighborhood, raising awareness of the need to unite all segments of society to establish a culture of peace.

Our gratitude goes to all groups who came and to the following individuals: the firefighter Mirim Program, Captain Damasceno, Severino Monteiro, and Humberto Lustosa Sea. Inspired by the vision of peace of our founders, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, together we can advance with hope in the search for a peaceful world.
