International Women's Day Observed in Toronto

Toronto, Canada - “Girls Growing up Free of Violence: Promoting Recognition, Equality and Respect” was the theme of an International Women's Day observance on March 15 at the Holiday Inn Toronto. Speakers included Atiya Ahsan, President of the Zonta Club of Mississauga; Jackie Wilson, Detective Sergeant with the York Regional Police; and Rubaiyat Karim, Program Manager at the York Regional Centre for Community Safety.
