Tokyo, Japan - UPF-Japan organized a commemorative event for International Women’s Day in Tokyo on March 2. The event was co-hosted by the Women’s Forum of Ambassadors for Peace, and more than 50 participants (80 percent of them women) attended.

New Delhi, India – UPF-India observed the International Women’s Day in collaboration with United Nations Information Center in India and Bhutan, the Guild for Service, and Women’s Federation for World Peace-India on the theme of “Equal Access to Education, Training and Science and Technology Pathway to Decent Work for Women” at the UN Conference Hall in New Delhi on March 7.

Kathmandu, Nepal – In support of the United Nations' International Women‘s Day 2011 members of the Women‘s Federation for World Peace-Nepal visited a home for elderly women and orphans in Kathmandu on March 8. The program at the homeless women‘s home fit the UN theme "Equal access to education, training and science and technology: Pathway to decent work for women" in a very novel way.

Tbilisi, Georgia - UPF-Georgia in partnership with the local UN office conducted discussion on the topic of “The role of women in peacemaking” on March 6 at the National Youth Palace on the International Women's Day. About 40 young Georgians discussed the meaning of peace, peacemaking, and service, and ways  to put an end to violence towards women.
