Members of UPF-Ghana's Presiding Council and National Peace Council were introduced to the Ambassadors for Peace gathering and UPF-Ghana's Excellence Award was presented to the Splendors of Dawn Poetry Foundation.

Accra, Ghana - UPF-Ghana and the Family Federation for World Peace held a forum on May 15 to commemorate the UN International Day of Families as well as a workshop on marriage and family. In addition, "Peace Family Awards" were presented to selected couples who have lived together for over 20 years without conflict as well as families who are outstanding examples of living for the sake of others.

Accra, Ghana - The month of February 2012 witnessed another interesting workshop for Ambassadors for Peace from both Ghana and Nigeria. There were four participants from Nigeria and two from Ghana at the program on February 23.
Accra, Ghana - The Secretary General of UPF-Ghana, Mrs. Helen M. Osei, was awarded an honorary Doctorate Degree (a Doctorate of Missions) on February 18 by the Pan-African Christian Theological University of Abuja, Nigeria.

Accra, Ghana - Three types of events were scheduled for the International Day of Families: on May 13, visits to churches to share the ideal of peaceful families; on May 14, a meeting with Muslim couples from Ghana Muslim Mission to discuss the essence of ideal families in peacebuilding and a visit to an interreligious couple; and on May 15, a celebration of the International Day of Families with 15 families receiving a Peace Family Award.
