Russians Put Together 2020 Road Map to Develop Volunteerism
Moscow, Russia - How to stimulate volunteerism was the main topic for about 200 representatives from Russian NGOs, businesses and government who met at the 10th All-Russia Conference on Volunteerism. The conference, titled "Development Strategy for Volunteerism in Russia—2020 Road Map,” was held on Nov. 11, in the Russian Federation Civic Chamber building in Moscow.
Promoting a Rapprochement of Cultures in Ukraine
Volunteers from Japan and South Korea visited Ukraine in November 2013 at the invitation of the Universal Peace Federation. The purpose of the delegation's stay in Ukraine was to take part in international volunteer activities, initiate charitable projects and meet volunteers in various cities of Ukraine.
UPF-Russia Honors UN Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures
Moscow, Russia - About 95 people gathered for a conference on "Russia towards the UN International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures" held in Moscow’s National Hotel Dec. 21. UK Peace Council Hears Updates on UPF-UK's Peace Initiatives
London, UK - UPF-UK convened its annual Peace Council meeting on Dec. 7 in its Lancaster Gate headquarters to review progress in its peace initiatives during the year.
