Manado, Indonesia - Every day the audience grew for the Dec. 9-11 conference on "Ideal Families and Transformational Leadership: Towards a Nation of Peace, Unity and Prosperity" in Indonesia's Sulawesi island. One educator reported that the presentations gave her a new vision and renewed hope for Indonesia's youth.

Paramaribo, Suriname - Ambassadors for Peace participated in a training program on Nov. 30 about helping men with an impulse for domestic violence. Eleven people attended the five-hour training offered by Dr. Iwoma Smoktunowiscz, a psychiatrist from the Netherlands.

Taipei, Taiwan - An estimated 300,000 people gathered on Nov. 30 in downtown Taipei in support of traditional marriage and family. Based on decades of interfaith dialogue, UPF-Taiwan was part of the Interreligious Coalition for Cherishing the Family and encouraged Buddhist, Taoist, Confucianist and Muslim leaders to participate.

Novosibirsk, Russia - Across the street from the A.S. Pushkin Library in Novosibirsk, a bust of Pushkin was erected on Oct. 19 on the threshold of the UN International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures. At the ceremony, a Young Ambassador for Peace from Cameroon spoke about the value of interethnic and interracial marriages, using as an example Russia's greatest poet, whose great-grandfather was African.

Novosibirsk, Russia - The first Folk Festival for Happy Families was launched in Novosibirsk in the commercial court of the local department store “Russia” on August 12 on International Youth Day.

Kiev, Ukraine - UPF-Ukraine together with Kiev Family Center “Family House” held a contest on July 11 called "The most romantic Kiev couple 2013." Four young couples participated in the contest, and over 30 people came to the event as spectators. The main prize was a romantic trip to Paris for three days.
