Lima, Peru - An Ambassador for Peace raised funds and gathered supporters to help bring Christmas cheer on Dec. 23, 2009, to the children in the Bayovar Canto Grande district of San Juan de Lurigancho, one of the poorest areas of Lima.

San Jose, Costa Rica - H.E. Dr. Rodrigo Carazo, President of Costa Rica (1978-82), died December 9 at the age of 82. A UPF Ambassador for Peace and member of its Global Peace Council, Carazo spoke at a peace conference in Seoul in July promoting "a renewed United Nations that embodies the parental heart of God.”

UPF Awards Ceremony Celebrated in New York

New York, USA - Four outstanding New York and New Jersey residents were honored for excellence in leadership and 45 others received the prestigious Ambassador for Peace appointment at the Universal Peace Federation of New York and New Jersey's annual awards ceremony held April 4 at the Manhattan Center in New York. Rev. In-jin Moon, second daughter of UPF Founders Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon, represented her parents in hosting the event.
