Moscow, Russia - In line with the UN proclamation of 2010 as the International Year of Rapprochement of Cultures, the Moscow House of Nationalities Youth Department developed a program called “Dialogue of cultures” under the guidance of Kristina Volkova. UPF-Russia's International Department Director Dima Oficerov was invited to participate in their yurt camp entitled “World without corners.”

Washington, DC - An appreciative crowd gathered near the Korean War Memorial on the National Mall in Washington DC to reflect on the outbreak of the Korean War 60 years ago. The Little Angels Children's Folk Ballet were the star attraction in a special program to honor the veterans from 16 nations who defended freedom on the Korean peninsula.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia - The Cambodian Mekong University was the setting for a Legacy of Peace Ceremony on June 25. The University's Vice Chancellor welcomed the audience of 250 people, and Hon. Kong Uok, Vice Chair of the National Committee for Population and Development, introduced the ceremony. A Member of Parliament, Hon. Ho Naun, gave the opening speech.

Vienna, Austria - At an Africa Day celebration on June 10, four Africans living in Austria spoke on the theme of the Rapprochement of Cultures between Europe and Africa. This was followed by a concert by Barbara Alli and Afrococo, singing songs by Zeka Kangela from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The Little Angels, a children's folk ballet from South Korea, tried to do it Monday with sweet smiles, a few songs and tokens of gratitude they presented to American veterans of the Korean War.
