Almaty, Kazakhstan - UPF held a small event dedicated to the celebration of the UN Interfaith Harmony Week on January 29 at the Peace Embassy in Almaty. The content of the meeting included a presentation of the autobiography of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, A Peace-Loving Global Citizen. Among the participants were two Kazakhstan Ambassadors for Peace, one of them a Muslim, and people from various walks of life.
The president of the Family Federation, Larissa Lee, gave introductory words to the participants based on the Preface of the autobiography. Personal reflections on the autobiography were given by UPF representative, Sergey Chuprakov, and local UC President, Aina Dolgova. The atmosphere of the meeting was very sincere due to the passages read from the autobiography where Rev. Moon expresses his heart-felt aspirations. Inspired guests were moved by the contents of the book and personality, achievements, and life experience of the Rev. Moon, and gave their response words by sharing their impressions.
The first part of the meeting was followed by the video, “A Peace-Loving Global Citizen.” After the film, all guests received a copy of the autobiography.
The program also included appointment of a new Ambassador for Peace.
The meeting concluded with a coffee break during which everybody had an opportunity chance to share with each other and build personal relationships.
