Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia - UPF-Mongolia held a gathering along the riverside at the Gachuurt resort in the eastern suburbs of Ulaanbaatar. In Mongolian-style hospitality, a cow was butchered for the meal that was enjoyed by 224 participants.

It might still be too soon to book your ticket from King’s Cross to Grand Central Station in New York, but the prospect of such an epic rail journey moved a step closer when the Kremlin gave its blessing to the greatest railway project of all time: a 65-mile (106km) tunnel linking Asia and North America under the Bering Strait and connecting railway lines that would allow a seamless train trip from Britain to the United States.

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - Major General Silas Paul Mayunga of Tanzania passed to the spirit world on August 6. A former High Commissioner for Tanzania in Nigeria, he was an active Ambassador for Peace. He was in Delhi, India, being treated for throat cancer when he passed away on August 6.

The three Baltic nations of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania consider their history under the Soviet Union between World War II and 1991 as a time of occupation. Yet their common history with Russia goes back centuries, and their economic future is inevitably linked with their powerful neighbor to the East. With important Russian-speaking communities in their midst, the Baltic nations are faced with the challenge of keeping their own identity while maintaining positive relations with their neighbors. At the same time, since they are integrated into the European Union, they can play a mediating role between Russia and Europe. [Read more.]
- Goal: Overcome historical tensions between Russia and the Baltic nations of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania
- Methods: Forums, cultural exchanges, and service-learning programs
Examples of annual programs bringing together young people from neighboring nations:
- Athletes from neighboring nations traveling to Estonia to compete in "Play Football Make Peace" tournaments
- Russian children traveling to Finland and Sweden for "Light of the Christmas Star" musical festivals
- People from neighboring nations participating in Religious Youth Service projects in Russia and Estonia
A St. Petersburg-Kaliningrad Super-marathon for Peace will take place August-September 2014.

Abuja, Nigéria - Le Centre international de conférences d’Abuja, Nigéria, a accueilli de nombreux événements prestigieux depuis la fondation de la nouvelle capitale fédérale en 1991 parmi lesquels la 11ème étape de la tournée mondiale pour la paix entreprise par le fondateur de la FPU a certainement été l’un des plus mémorables. Une foule d’environ 3'000 personnes, y compris 700 personnalités des quatre coins du monde, étaient rassemblée pour recevoir le message du fondateur de la FPU, le Rév. Dr. Sun Myung Moon qui a longuement parlé de l’espoir de Dieu de voir le Nigéria se transformer en une nation modèle de paix, porteuse de lumière pour toute l’Afrique.

Universal Primary Education Review in Abuja

The 2011 Annual Ministerial Review in Geneva, Switzerland, on this topic will focus on "implementing the internationally agreed goals and commitments in regard to education."

En grupos dialogamos e hicimos distintas propuestas que se refieren a los medios de comunicación, a nuestras expresiones religiosas y al Estado y nuestra relación con él.
