Melbourne, Australia - Africa Day in Australia is an opportunity to celebrate African cultural diversity and unity as well as the economic, spiritual, moral, social, and cultural contributions and successes of Australians from African descent. The event was held to coincide with the annual Africa Day celebrations held around the world, marking the 59th anniversary of the founding of the African Union.
My decision to attend the International Leadership Conference in Mindanao, Philippines, March 29-31, 2012, was not taken lightly.
