Kathmandu, Nepal - "Clean and Green Nepal," a nationwide garbage separation education campaign was launched in Nepal on September 2. With a sense of civic pride, 1000 participants, including volunteers from 50 colleges in Nepal and four colleges in India, cleaned up Ratna Park in Kathmandu.

Castries, St. Lucia - It was early, and my thoughts were whirling around in my head in the car on the way to the airport on August 2, headed for a Religious Youth Service project in the Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia. My dad's voice was a distant murmur. With each passing minute my heart pounded faster and faster. I was full of anxiety when we reached the New York airport. Maybe it would be best if I just went back. But there was no turning back.

Chisinau, Moldova - A "Beginners Training for Volunteers” was held as part of National Volunteer Week at the central prefecture of Chisinau on May 24. It was organized by the NGO PPROLUS. During the training young college students were introduced to volunteer policies in Moldova. They were also introduced to the meaning of volunteering as well as rights and benefits of volunteers. They received information on how to get involved in volunteer activities.
