Service Programs

To cultivate the spirit of one family under God, UPF offers disaster relief and organizes service projects such as caring for public spaces, supporting access to education, promoting good health, and providing medical supplies.

Benue State, Nigeria - In response to its appeal for support in providing emergency food and medical aid to victims of violence, UPF-Nigeria gave thousands of yams on April 28, 2014 to help feed internally displaced persons in Makurdi, Benue state.

Lima, Peru - UPF-Peru activities in December included a gathering with Ambassadors for Peace, appointment of new Ambassadors for Peace, celebration of Human Rights Day in the Peruvian Congress and Trujillo, a thanksgiving service in the Peruvian congress, distribution of Christmas gifts, and a traditional Christmas chocolate treat for poor families.

Kemerovo, Russia - The competition "Kuzbass Volunteer 2013" was held in the Kemerovo region of southwest Siberia from Dec. 17 to 19, 2013. “Kuzbass” is short for Kuzneft Basin and is another term for Kemerovo, one of the largest coal-producing areas of the world. The competition was initiated by Natalia Filimonova and Oksana Kitova, leading experts of the regional Department for Youth and Sports.

Volunteers from Japan and South Korea visited Ukraine in November 2013 at the invitation of the Universal Peace Federation. The purpose of the delegation's stay in Ukraine was to take part in international volunteer activities, initiate charitable projects and meet volunteers in various cities of Ukraine.
