"Brunei Night" Co-hosted by UPF-Japan

Tokyo, Japan - Welcoming H.E. Pengiran Yusuf, the first Prime Minister and the founding father of the State of Brunei to Tokyo, the “La vie en Rose,” an association founded by the women who love Brunei, held their first regular meeting on April 11 on the theme “Brunei Night” and nearly 100 people attended. The event was co-hosted by UPF-Japan and Brunei Darussalam Culture Exchange Association in Tokyo, and sponsored by the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Japan.
S. Murei: A Shinto Priest Seeks Reconciliation in Israel

I was born from a long line of traditional Shintoists and became a Shinto priest in 1963. I had an inborn gift for mediation and in 1983, I got a revelation from Takamimusubi, a creator god in Japanese religious tradition. At that time, my God became a golden pillar and entered my body in the course of my midwinter discipline, saying, “I have descended from heaven for the sake of world peace.” Until that time I had been praying only for Japan, so I was curious why I had to do something for world peace. Now I understand that my mission for world peace was predestined thirty years ago.

UPF-Japan Board Meets

Tokyo, Japan - On December 26, 2008, the UPF-Japan Board met in a hotel in Tokyo. Around 30 board members were present, including the chair, co-chair, executive members, and the chairs of the Ambassadors for Peace Professional Forums. The meeting was convened to sum up the activities of 2008 and consider the action plans for 2009.
Peace Embassy Opens in Numazu City

Fifty Thousand Stand Up for Peace in Tokyo

The Philippine delegates to the event included officials from the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo: the Labor Attaché, Mr. Danilo Cruz; the Welfare Officer, Ms. Luz Talento; and the Armed Forces and Defense Attaché, Col. Danilo Estropia. Also present was Mrs. Angelita Obara, President of the Filipino Japanese Movement for Global Peace and co-chair of the GPF Japan Filipino Community National Steering Committee.
