Clean and Green Campaign Launched in Nepal

Kathmandu, Nepal - "Clean and Green Nepal," a nationwide garbage separation education campaign was launched in Nepal on September 2. With a sense of civic pride, 1000 participants, including volunteers from 50 colleges in Nepal and four colleges in India, cleaned up Ratna Park in Kathmandu.

Chitlang, Nepal - Thirty-six participants and four staff members set out by bus on June 2 from Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, to the village of Chitlang, where we would spend seven days together serving a school and local community. It was an interesting, valuable, and educational experience; we will never forget how we survived with limited resources, good lectures, and leadership training.

Kathmandu, Nepal – The College of Journalism and Mass Communication organized the first-ever African Film Festival in Nepal beginning May 23, running for three days and ending on the African Union's Africa Day program. The Universal Peace Federation of Nepal supported the festival along with the International Association for Women in Radio and Television, the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of South Africa.
