New Delhi, India - The Universal Peace Federation-India launched College Peace Clubs in three universities in New Delhi in August and September: Ram Lal Anand College and St. Stephen's College of the University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia (the Islamic National University).

Kathmandu, Nepal - "Clean and Green Nepal," a nationwide garbage separation education campaign was launched in Nepal on September 2. With a sense of civic pride, 1000 participants, including volunteers from 50 colleges in Nepal and four colleges in India, cleaned up Ratna Park in Kathmandu.

Dushanbe, Tajikistan - UPF-Russia Secretary General Konstantin Krylov and I undertook a trip to Tajikistan September 9-12 to meet with Tajik Ambassadors for Peace and invite Hon. Shukurjon Zuhurov, the Tajikistan Speaker of the House of Representatives, to an international gathering.

Jerusalem, Israel - As civilian casualties mount in Syria, Israel’s northeastern neighbor, and concerns over militant groups operating in the Sinai trouble governments both in Cairo and Jerusalem, UPF’s Middle East Peace Initiative (MEPI) took another step forward with the August 26-28 interfaith seminar on the topic “Religion and Peace in the Middle East: the Significance of Interfaith Cooperation.”

Quatre-Bornes, Mauritius - The Women's Federation for World Peace organized a Family Values Awareness and Cultural Show in the Municipal Reception Hall of Quatre-Bornes on August 18 for the children they sponsor and their parents or guardians.

Bacolod, Philippines - More than a thousand married couples assembled in Bacolod's Garden Royale for an Interfaith Peace Festival on Aug. 26, 2012. Couples arrived excited at the opportunity to jointly renew their wedding vows.

Buenos Aires, Argentina - "Life Is the Art of Encounter" is the motto under which UPF-Argentina celebrated the UN International Friendship Day on July 30 with an intercultural and artistic event at the Peace Embassy in Buenos Aires. The event included presenting the awards of the Drawing and Painting Contest, which UPF organized together with Affinnerity.

Portland Parish, Jamaica - Youth from six nations assembled on Aug. 3, 2012 for a 13-day Religious Youth Service project on Jamaica's northeast coast, where they cleaned classrooms, repaired a fence and did landscaping at an elementary school.
