Kathmandu, Nepal - In a unique educational initiative UPF-Nepal partnered with five business colleges, including the first and largest university in Nepal, to conduct a half-day program entitled Leadership Training in the Business World.” The seminar held in Kathmandu at UPF’s Peace Embassy building on May 11 attracted more than 100 students of business and commerce at both the bachelor's and master's level.

Khabarovsk, Russia - Russia's Armed Forces Day, February 23, served as a good opportunity to discuss with children gender differences and social roles of boys and girls. This topic is particularly relevant since many young people have little idea not only about the role of a mother and father in the family but even about the value of the family as such.

Novosibirsk, Russia - A seminar on Unification Thought was held every Saturday in Novosibirsk during January. The participants had the opportunity to research and discuss the life and philosophy of UPF founder, Dr. Sun Myung Moon. The series of 12 lectures familiarized people with the vision on which the multilateral and extensive international activities of UPF are based.

Tackling current issues head-on, UPF-Nepal held two education programs in southern Nepal, in Itahari and Biratnagar, January 29 and 30. Addressing the concerns about declining moral values, the theme for each event was “The Role of the Family in Nation-Building.” Three presentations were given at each event.
