Moscow, Russia - The Russian Peoples’ Friendship University in Moscow hosted a Conference of the Assembly of the Russian Peoples on February 24. The largest NGO of Russia organized this gathering to discuss the future national and interethnic policies of the Russian Federation.

Accra, Ghana - The month of February 2012 witnessed another interesting workshop for Ambassadors for Peace from both Ghana and Nigeria. There were four participants from Nigeria and two from Ghana at the program on February 23.

Sydney, Australia - An Australian Leadership Convocation from February 17 to 19 brought together leaders to set the vision, goals, and direction of UPF's work for the coming year. Among the topics discussed were community building, social service projects, and education. Participants came from Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania to spend time with Dr. Dong Woo Kim, Regional Chair of UPF-Oceania, and Rev. Greg Stone, Secretary-General of UPF-Oceania, reviewing last year's activities and making plans for the coming year.

Sao Paulo, Brazil - Leaders from Brazil and Latin America convened at the UPF Headquarters in Sao Paulo from February 12 to 16. The program opened with a presentation by Rev. Dong Mo Shin, Regional Chair of UPF-Latin America. Various topics were discussed, including marriage and family programs, education, and community building. In attendance were UPF leaders from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, and Uruguay, in addition to leaders from throughout Brazil.

The International Leadership Conference in Korea brought together dignitaries and leaders from around the world to discuss interfaith cooperation, universal peace principles, and peace and security. In addition, participants supported the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week with an interfaith ceremony led by representatives of the major world religions.

Seoul, Korea - An International Leadership Conference in Korea Jan. 21-25, 2012, brought together more than 200 participants from 72 nations to consider possible roads to peace.

Riga, Latvia - Mr. Eiji Tokuno, Regional Chair of UPF-Eurasia, visited Riga on Dec. 19, 2011 and met with UPF leaders and Ambassadors for Peace at the Latvia Peace Embassy. Delegations from the neighboring nations of Lithuania and Estonia traveled several hours in order to participate in the regional meeting.

Sverdlovsk, Russia - UPF staff members visited the Sverdlovsk Regional Medical College on December 7 and 8. Representatives of UPF and the college have been cooperating for three years, and thanks to similar views, goals, and aspirations, they have become close partners.
