Cultivating good character is an important part of a child's education at home, at school and in the community. Many UPF chapters offer lessons in classrooms or train teachers and administrators in character education or peace education.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam - UPF-Asia conducted the second Character Education Teachers Training Workshop co-organized by the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (VNIES) and Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Education August 28-29, 2009. Sixty school principals and elementary school teachers participated in a character education teacher-training program in preparation for the translation of the books and a one-year pilot program to be run by the VNIES.

Trinidad and Tobago - UPF peer educators offered character education programs to children in the village of El Luengo and young athletes in Port of Spain, the capital. This was the second year that the Universal Peace Federation sent interns from the US to this Caribbean island.
