Moscow, Russia - UPF-Russia Secretary General Konstantin Krylov participated in a round table on the role of culture as a means for grassroots diplomacy at the Moscow Center “Strategy” on November 29. Participants envisioned Russia becoming a spiritual superpower known not only for its Kalashnikovs and Stolichnaya vodka but also for its great masters of culture and spirit.
Novosibirsk, Russia - An activity in support of the all-Russia observance of Mothers’ Day was held in Novosibirsk on November 25. In the Royal Park and Sun City shopping centers, activists handed out flowers and picture post cards to mothers.
The International Day for Tolerance was commemorated with educational activities in St. Petersburg and Kondopoga, cities in the northwest part of Russia; Kamensk-Urals and Perm in the Urals area and Ufa in the southern Urals; and Novosibirsk in Siberia. In addition, "Run Hour" activities publicized the Day of Tolerance in Moscow, Kazan, Nizhnevartovsk, and Yekaterinburg.

Moscow, Korea - An International Conference on “The United Korea as a dream of the Korean nation” took place in Moscow at the conference hall of the hotel “Rusotel” on Oct. 3, 2012. The event marked the anniversary of the signing of the Joint North-South Korea Declaration in 2007.
Holon, Israel - A delegation of volunteers from Russia visited Holon, Israel, from September 22 to 30. Young Ambassadors for Peace from different cities of Russia (Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod, Izhevsk, Nizhnevartovsk, and Kazan) were warmly welcomed by a group of kind community activists from Holon.
International Day of Peace 2012 programs took place in eight cities, with Ambassadors for Peace, partners, and activists organizing a variety of activities promoting inner peace, peace in families, and peace between neighboring communities, peoples, and nations.
Novosibirsk, Russia - In preparation for the International Day of Peace on September 21, an August 21 forum in Novosibirsk attracted public figures, scientists, and youth activists to a discussion on “Sustainable world peace for creating a sustainable future.”
Krymsk, Russia - After devastating floods in early July 2012, a Religious Youth Service team of ten people from various parts of Russia arrived in Krymsk on July 19 and spent seven days cleaning out rubbish, erecting tents to shelter the homeless and organizing donations that poured in from throughout the nation.
Moscow, Russia - The track-and-field relay race dedicated to the100th anniversary of all track-and-field competitions of Russia and initiated by the International Super-Marathon Association was completed on August 3. Among the participants were athletes from the Ukraine as well as the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, and Novgorod, Russia.
Lake Seliger, Russia - The annual Seliger International Youth Forum concluded its work in Tver region of Russia on August 2. Thousands of young activists enjoyed the unique opportunity to present their programs, projects, and ideas to all interested parties and even to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, who came to the Forum specially to meet the best of the best.
