Petrozavodsk, Russia - During the third annual Hyperborean Youth Forum near Petrozavodsk Aug. 3-9, 2011, Youth Ambassadors for Peace organized a Play Football Make Peace tournament, a beach cleanup, and a “Mr. and Miss Hyperborea” program.
Slyudyanka, Russia - Volunteers built a pedestrian bridge and explored the beauties of the coast of Lake Baikal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, July 9-22, 2011.
Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia - Legislators from Seoul, South Korea, visited Russia from July 18 to 20 to meet with officials and legislators in Moscow and a university rector in St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg, Russia - The July 11 meeting of the St. Petersburg Peace Council was attended by its most active members, among them Secretary General of UPF-Russia, Konstantin Krylov; chair of the Peace Council, Tatyana Krasnosumova; and volunteers Denis Pigasov and Tatyana Nadzinskaya. They discussed important issues including further developments of Baltic Dialogue Project and assistance for the Novosibirsk chapter of the Universal Peace Federation in creating a Peace Park in Novosibirsk near the House of National Cultures.

Moscow, Russia - The gala-concert of the second Moscow International Festival of the Arts “New World” followed by awarding of the winners took place in Moscow on June 4. The initiator of the program aimed at developing modern performers’ and authors’ art was a film company “New Cinema.” The main categories in the festival were: dance, cinema, animation, original genre, fashion, and photo-art. A well-known Russian actor and Ambassador for Peace, Konstantin Polyansky, was the organizer and administrator of the Festival.
Yekaterinbrg, Russia - The complete text of the motto of the “Run Hour” activity that was held on Saturday, June 4, was “Outrun me on 100m and get your prize!” All those who know something about the activity also know that it is usually held on Sundays. So, why it was Saturday and with such a motto this time?
Moscow, Russia - The Universal Peace Federation held a workshop for Ambassadors for Peace in Moscow on June 1. The program was dedicated to the peace initiatives and life course of the UPF Founder, Dr. Sun Myung Moon. The key report was delivered by the UPF-Russia Secretary General, Konstantin Krylov. The autobiography of the UPF Founder was presented to the participants.

Moscow, Russia - In the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation in Moscow, a presentation of UPF projects was made on April 30, 2011, to members of the "Grassroots Diplomatic Corps."
St. Petersburg, Russia - Before summer vacations began, the Northwest Peace Council met for a presentation about the role of Ambassadors for Peace as mediators, discuss current events in North Africa, and consider a proposal to establish family clubs.
Moscow, Russia - A round-table discussion on “Foreign projects for volunteers” took place in the State University of Management under the support of the Moscow Department of Family and Children’s Policy “Sodruzhestvo” on April 28.
Moscow, Russia - The “Run Hour” program initiated in Urals region in 2008 by youth Peace Ambassadors was adopted by the Moscow City government this year as part of the Russian National Week of Goodness. Other cities took up the program even without UPF participation, and we do not know the extent of the program.
Moscow, Russia - UPF-Russia initiated programs during the fifteenth annual Spring Week of Goodness April 16-24. Events with the slogan “We Create Our Future Together” took place throughout Russia. UPF and its Young Ambassadors for Peace were enthusiastic participants in events in a number of cities.
Ryazan, Russia - The UPF Secretary General Russian chapter, Konstantin Krylov, held the last in number seminar for Ambassadors for Peace on “Towards the age of interreligious cooperation and universal peace. Life course and works of the founder.”
Moscow, Russia - In the Moscow House of Nationalities, a round-table discussion on “Ethnology for All: Problems and Prospects of Ethno-cultural Education” took place on April 21. Participants discussed ways to prevent racism, chauvinism, and xenophobia.
Yekaterinburg, Russia - Cleaning, helping infirm people – such forms of volunteer activity are traditional, therefore members of UPF, Ural chapter, were happy to meet creative citizens who could offer new ideas for charitable projects and carry out a joint creative project on April 17.
