Nairobi, Kenya - Each year on August 9, the United Nations honors the “International Day of Indigenous People.“ The event took on a unique flavor in Kenya this year when hundreds of young people assembled at the UPF Headquarters in Nairobi to celebrate the diversity of people in this East African country.
Miles de pacificadores vinieron a celebrar la paz en el césped del Capitolio de los EEUU el 9 de agosto, en el Festival para la Paz Global, EEUU. La reunión, anunciada como el evento, multicultural e interconfesional, más grande ocurrido hasta ahora en Washington DC, fue el segundo en una serie de 15 Festivales para la Paz Global en este año, siendo el próximo planeado a fines de agosto en Nairobi, Kenya.

Je souhaite partager avec vous une vision nouvelle des États-Unis. Cette vision qui remonte aux principes fondateurs de notre pays, exalte l’idéal d’une « nation en Dieu » ; je voudrais la développer et l’élargir à la notion plus universelle d’une « famille humaine unie en Dieu ».
Washington, D.C. - The Global Peace Festival will host a Food Drive for Peace on August 9 in various area locations, inviting people to participate in the Million Acts of Service and Kindness.
En mi último día completo en Jamaica, conversaba con una dama sentada en el autobús, mientras yo estaba parada casi colgada de las asas por encima de mi cabeza. Ella preguntó si estábamos disfrutando nuestra estadía y tenía curiosidad de saber si habíamos estado en Negril y en la Bahía de Montego gozando de sus playas.
Nuestro equipo fue a Trinidad y a Tobago a enseñar “Educación del carácter”, en la escuela primaria St. Joseph School y en la escuela Sealots Community School, desde el 2 al 27 de julio de 2008. En la primera escuela tuvimos unos 70 alumnos y en Sealots, 33 alumnos.
