United Nations Relations
As an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, the Universal Peace Federation promotes interfaith understanding, sustainable development, strengthening of marriage and family, mediation of conflict, the empowerment of women and the revitalization of the UN. UPF supports the goals of the UN with programs on occasions such as:

- International Day of Families (May 15)
- Global Day of Parents (June 1)

Moscow Marathon: Youth Against Drugs

Moscow, Russia - At the zero kilometer, Resurrection Gate at the Red Square in Moscow, the Junior Athletics marathon "Children against Drugs - I Choose Sport! Towards the Universiade 2013" began on June 1. Each year, the Universal Peace Federation is a co-organizer of the marathon.

Lome, Togo - A presentation on "True Families as the Solution to the World's Ills" marked the Global Day of Parents in Lome on June 1. It was presented by Rev. Henyon Kokou, national leader of the Family Federation for World Peace. He was introduced by Rev. Kagni S. Dieudonne, Secretary General of UPF-Togo.

Baku, Azerbaijan - A conference on "The Global Day of Parents" was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, at the Irshad Hotel on May 24, 2013. The event was attended by 60 Ambassadors for Peace of Azerbaijan. The chairman of the National Peace Council, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rahim Huseynov, was MC of the conference. The event was broadcast on the SPACE national TV channel.
